NationBuilder is a comprehensive tool for community organizing. It also has an extensive API to enable custom application development. One Rails app I developed is Check, an event check-in app that allows event organizers to quickly use their mobile and tablet devices to check guests into an event.

I was able to ensure the application runs efficiently through local cache mechanisms, while also building in security with OAuth2 and the Sorcery ruby gem.
