Eden reforestation Projects

Eden Reforestation Projects is a non-profit environmental and poverty-alleviation organization that helps communities around the world plant trees. Reclaiming lost forests and greenery builds healthier communities, and helps generate income and entrepreneurialism.

Their fundraising required a platform that allowed donors to encourage family, friends and communities to take part. It also helped connect donors to entrepreneurs on the ground, to personalize their stories and show the donor that their donation makes a difference in someone's life.

This platform required significant database manipulation through NationBuilder's front-facing Liquid templating language, and custom workarounds to be able to retrieve donations per month for each local entrepreneur. These figures were then tabulated to showcase the funds raised, and how much more was needed.
