Modular theme development for 8 separate divisions
New Dawn is a social enterprise based out of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Its mandate is to provide for the Cape Breton community, and out of that have sprung 8 separate "divisions", from healthcare to rental properties.
In bringing their organization's digital space under NationBuilder, the company sought to streamline their inner workings, including each divisions' responsibilities and activities. The challenge was creating one structure that encompassed all these disparate elements, taking into account such things as college applications to rental property repair requests.
Utilizing a modular homepage design allowed for each division to showcase information relevant to their work front-and-centre. For example, while New Dawn's Center for Social Innovation may regularly hold events, the Meals on Wheels initiative can instead put a volunteer signup form on its homepage to garner physical support from the community.
